Kristin Otulakowski, RMT, DOMP
Kristin Otulakowski has been providing osteopathic treatment to St. Catharines and the surrounding Niagara region since 2006. She began her career in Healthcare as a Registered Massage Therapist, graduating from Sutherland Chan in 1999 with a Diploma of Massage Therapy. After three years of massaging, Kristin Otulakowski was interested in discovering more effective ways to treat various conditions. This search lead to world of Osteopathy.
Kristin received her Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2010, a 5 year program plus an additional 2 year thesis.
Kristin is committed to providing the best level of care to her patients. To better meet their needs, she has continued her quest for learning, taking additional post graduate courses at various international osteopathic symposiums.
Some of these topics include chronic pain, concussions, reproductive dysfunction, pregnancy, mental health (including post partum, post traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression). All of this with an integration of mind, body, and soul, Kristin is better able to treat every patient for their individual needs.
Kristin has personally found that if you take an active interest in the outcome of your health, you will enjoy a better quality of living. She encourages you to ask questions to better understand your body and how it heals. This is important not just for your health and wellbeing, but for your overall quality of life. Kristin understands that education and the sharing of information is a key to enabling you to make wiser decisions about your health.
Prior to moving to St. Catharines, Kristin’s private practice clinic in downtown Toronto specialized in Massage Therapy, Osteopathy, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. Kristin moved to work with Rob Peters at Niagara Osteopathic and Rehabilitation Centre in St. Catharines in 2009.
In 2012, Kristin joined Live Well Massage Therapy and Osteopathy. She considers herself very fortunate to have been a part of a team that encouraged professional and personal growth in osteopathy, naturopathy, health and wellbeing.
In 2023, after the pandemic, Kristin opened Osteopathy Niagara as her personal and professional needs had evolved. The transition to a quieter and subdued environment – from the busy group dynamic at Live Well – has been a welcome change allowing her to focus on everyone’s individual needs and goals.
Kristin has enjoyed the transition from Toronto to a more relaxed lifestyle here in Niagara. Living in the Fitzgerald neighborhood of St. Catharines with her two dogs and cat, she enjoys exploring the beautiful region of Niagara and the many things it has to offer. In her free time she stays active hiking the Bruce trail, biking along the Niagara parkway, yoga, masters swim at Kiwanis, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at St Catharines Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Kristin also enjoys attending various events such as art shows, or music, food and wine festivals in Niagara on the Lake, Beamsville, Jordan, and Vineland.
